  • If you have been affected by the February 2024 Western Victoria bushfires, support is available to help you in your recovery.
  • Call the hotline on 1800 560 760 from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on weekends. Press 9 for an interpreter.
  • Information about recovery supports is also available on the VicEmergency website.

Council drop-in info sessions

Drop-in sessions from Horsham Rural City Council and Grampians Community Health staff have been scheduled at the Dadswells Bridge Hall.

If you've been impacted by the fire and need help with fencing contact the BlazeAid Halls Gap Camp Coordinators (Lyn or Stan) as soon as possible.

Volunteer cooks required for evening meals. If you can help, please contact Lyn or Stan on 0409 804 844.

Kerbside waste collection

Please continue to leave your bins out on your regular collection day. Our drivers will do their best to empty all bins, however delays may occur if road access is limited. If your bin is not emptied on your normal collection day, please leave it on the kerbside and we will return as soon as possible to collect it. 

Essential water replacement

The Essential Water Replacement Scheme was put in place for the replacement of essential water used during bushfire operations by Victoria’s fire agencies.  

If you believe essential water needs replacing on your property, please submit an essential water replacement claim form Essential water replacement form(PDF, 158KB) or visit the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action website.

To report wildlife impacted by fire for the Bellfield–Stapylton fire, call 1300 356 682.

Report an issue to Council

If you need to report a road, tree or other safety issue on Council-managed land that could pose an immediate risk to public safety, please report it online here.

Otherwise, call our customer service team on 53829777 during business hours, Monday to Friday.

Community meetings

Two community meetings with representatives from emergency services and HRCC have been held at the Dadswells Bridge Hall.
