New riverfront pathway completed

Horsham South residents can now walk, ride or run into the city more easily after a new pathway connecting Kenny Road with Weir Park was completed this month.
Mayor Robyn Gulline said people who lived near Horsham Golf Club could now use the 1.5km sealed surface as a direct route to Barnes Boulevard and access the network of other river tracks.
“It’s great to see so many people walking in our naturally beautiful areas at the moment, I’m rapt that our network of riverfront tracks continues to grow,” Cr Gulline said.
“The track is a completely sealed surface front start to finish, meaning people in wheelchairs, mobility scooters or families with prams can also enjoy using it.
“The track winds through patches of native scrub, so minimising the impact on surrounding vegetation was a strong focus,” she said.
HRCC funded the project as part of its capital works program.
