A Horsham man has been fined $395 for illegally dumping expired food waste on the edge of the city.

The incident occurred on Curran Road, where the man disposed of old food items that could have been placed in a household litter bin.

The fine was issued under Section 115(1) of the Environment Protection Act 2017.

HRCC is dedicated to maintaining clean and safe streets and taking a strong stand against illegal dumping.

We actively monitor and enforce regulations to prevent illegal dumping and several rubbish dumpers are caught every year.

If you witness illegal dumping or any suspicious activities in the community, you can report it online.

Residents can dispose of many items for free at the municipality’s four transfer stations.
