Parking Feedback
Parking management in the centre of Horsham is currently under review.
We have already heard feedback from the community via the Horsham Talks Expo (held on 10, 11 and 12 August 2023), through staff contact with the public and via customer service. This is the feedback we have noted.
- There should be no paid parking in Horsham
- Some meters are too far apart e.g. sections of Firebrace Street and eastern end of Pynsent Street
- Inconvenience of having to pay for parking when in and out of shops for one-off purchases
- Not enough parking beyond two hours in close proximity to the centre of Horsham
- Machines are slow when using cash or card
- Two zones are confusing
- Too many transactions when using the Blinkay App on bank statements
- Cannot see the parking meters
- Hard to read the screens
Review submissions closed at 5pm on Friday 8 September, 2023.
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.
Council considered community feedback at the September Council meeting and made changes to the way parking will be managed in the centre of Horsham. A summary of Council's decision can be found here.
