Council > Councillors
Horsham Rural City Council has seven Councillors elected every four years by the residents of the municipality. Voting is conducted via postal vote with the most recent election held on 22 October 2016.
The Mayor is elected for a one year period each November and is voted in by the Councillors. The current Mayor is Cr Pam Clarke.
The municipality is not subdivided and the seven Councillors are the elected representatives for all residents and ratepayers across the Horsham Rural City Council. They have responsibility for setting the strategic direction for the Horsham Rural City Council, policy development, identifying service standards and monitoring performance across the organisation. Each Councillor has a portfolio of local committes that they attend, providing a valuable link between the community and Council.
The Mayor and Councillors are available to attend and officiate at local events. If you would like to invite the Mayor and/or Councillors to an event, you are required to complete an Event Information Form and return to the Mayor's Office, Civic Centre Municipal Office, PO Box 511, Horsham 3402.
